Corey Becker

As a career Martial Artist and founder of Surge Martial Arts, Corey envisioned creating a truly authentic student centered martial arts school. With well over 20 years of practical and instructive experience, he founded Surge with the intent to bring something back to the community – outstanding customer service, strong business ethics and a learning environment grounded in friends, family & foundation.


Neil Rajadhyaksha

With almost two decades in this discipline, most of it spent working side-by-side with Corey, Neil brings a tremendous wealth of teaching experience, technical skill and an impressive dedication to the Martial Arts as this is his chosen career path. As a certified Fourth Degree Master Instructor, Neil’s goal is to bring out students “I can” attitude through a fine balance of humor with unparalleled technical abilities. Students will truly benefit from his motivational style and welcoming personality. Neil is well rounded in multiple Martial Arts disciplines with numerous sparring championships and a true passion for teaching.


Paul Scherer

Paul has been studying the martial arts for 20 years and is a natural teacher. Martial Arts gave him direction and focus in his youth and as he’s matured, it has become a calming presence in his life. Paul thrives on helping others sharpen their skills as they drive to succeed. His sense of humor creates a calming and enjoyable learning environment for everyone. Paul and Corey have been close friends for many years and share similar philosophies and teaching methods. Their friendship sets the tone for Surge, where we develop together as one united Surge family.


Sheri Sanabria

Sheri has been teaching group fitness classes for 25 years. She holds a national Group Fitness Instructor Certification with a Mind Body Specialty from the American Council on Exercise. She is certified to teach various different formats of fitness classes and enjoys teaching all types of classes, but has a passion for teaching mind body classes. Sheri has also been a fitness director and group exercise coordinator for nine years. Through her fitness experiences and trainings, she has learned that connecting with people and building relationships is the most important and most rewarding aspect of being a fitness instructor.


Ron Trabeau

Ron began his Martial Arts training in 1967 and has known Corey for the past 20 years. Ron also has a long and honored career in the military – serving in the Special Forces during Vietnam and brings a wealth of experience, a sense of quiet discipline and a peaceful disposition to Surge- but be ready to work!!
